Momentary Momentos · Effective date: May 6, 2026 · Last updated: August 12, 2026
Momentary Momentos ("we", "us", or "our") is a mobile application that lets you record and
revisit short 10-second video memories. This Privacy Policy explains what information we
collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.
Want to delete your account? See
How to Request Account Deletion for the steps, including how to
request deletion by email if you no longer have the app installed.
Just want to remove some memories? See
How to Delete Individual Memories — you can do that without deleting
your account.
1. Information We Collect
Account information: email address and password (managed by Supabase Auth).
Profile data: display name and optional profile photo you choose to upload.
Memory content: the 10-second video clips you record or upload, along with the
title, tags, and timestamp you associate with them.
Usage data: which memories you mark as favorites or choose to see less of —
used only to personalize the "Surprise Me" feature within the app.
Crash reports: diagnostic data (device model, OS version, stack traces)
collected when the app crashes, to help us fix bugs. These reports include a randomly generated
installation identifier that lets us tell one device's crashes apart from another's. It is not
linked to your name or email address, and it is reset if you reinstall the app.
Purchase records: subscription status (free or premium) recorded after a
successful in-app purchase. We do not see or store your payment card details.
2. How We Use Your Information
To authenticate your account and keep your memories private to you.
To store, sync, and display your memory videos across devices.
To personalize the order in which memories are surfaced in the "Surprise Me" feature.
To process subscription purchases and enforce storage limits.
To diagnose and fix crashes and bugs using anonymized crash reports.
We do not use your content for advertising, and we do not sell your data to third parties.
3. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services. Each has its own privacy policy:
Apple App Store / Google Play — in-app purchase processing.
Governed by Apple's and Google's respective privacy policies.
4. Data Storage and Security
Your videos and profile data are stored on Supabase infrastructure, hosted on AWS. Data is
encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access to your memories is restricted by Row-Level
Security policies that ensure only your account can read or modify your data.
5. Data Retention
Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete a memory, it is
queued for permanent deletion from storage within 30 days. If you delete your account, all
associated memories, tags, and profile data are permanently deleted.
6. How to Request Account Deletion
You can delete your Momentary Momentos account and its associated data at any time, using either
of the two methods below.
Method 1 — Delete from inside the app
Open Momentary Momentos and sign in.
Go to the Profile tab.
Tap Delete Account.
Confirm when prompted. You will be offered the chance to export your memories first.
Method 2 — Request deletion by email
If you no longer have the app installed, or cannot sign in, email
privacy@momentarymomentos.com
with the subject "Momentary Momentos Account Deletion Request", sent from the
email address on the account. We will verify the request and complete the deletion within 30 days.
What is deleted
Your account and sign-in credentials.
All memory videos you have recorded or uploaded, and their stored files.
All titles, captions, tags, capture dates, and favorite or "see less" preferences.
Your display name and profile photo.
Your subscription status record held by us.
What is kept, and for how long
Database backups: our database is backed up once daily, and those backups are
kept for 7 days. Residual copies of deleted account records may therefore persist for up to
7 days before ageing out automatically. Your uploaded videos and profile photos are not
included in these database backups — those files are removed from storage at the time of
deletion.
Crash diagnostics: crash reports already sent to Sentry are tied to an
installation identifier rather than to your account, so they are not retrievable by name or
email. They are purged automatically on Sentry's 90-day retention schedule.
Purchase records: transaction records held by Apple or Google for your
subscription are retained under their own policies and their own retention periods. We cannot
delete these on your behalf; contact Apple or Google directly regarding purchase history.
7. How to Delete Individual Memories
You do not have to delete your whole account to remove your content. You can delete any individual
memory at any time, and keep your account and everything else intact.
Deleting a memory from inside the app
Open Momentary Momentos and sign in.
Go to the Relive tab.
Find the memory you want to remove.
Tap the trash icon on that memory.
Confirm when prompted.
Requesting deletion by email
If you cannot access the app, email
privacy@momentarymomentos.com
with the subject "Momentary Momentos Data Deletion Request", sent from the email
address on the account, describing which memories you want removed. We will complete the request
within 30 days.
What is deleted, and when
The memory's title, caption, tags, capture date, and favorite setting are removed from our
database immediately.
The video file and its thumbnail are moved out of your library straight away and are
permanently purged from storage within 30 days.
Your account, your profile, and all your other memories are unaffected.
8. Your Other Rights
You also have the right to:
Access and download the memories you have created (use the share/export button on any memory).
Delete any individual memory at any time from within the app, without deleting your account.
If you are in the EU or California, request a copy of all personal data we hold about you, by
emailing
privacy@momentarymomentos.com.
9. Children's Privacy
Momentary Momentos is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal
information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, please
contact us so we can delete it.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page
will reflect any changes. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the
updated policy.
